Neighbors: 

A bit of Americana faded into the mists of folklore this morning as the rope swing at Shipyard Park was cut down along with its limb and the planks which were nailed to the trees for climbing. There will be some disappointed visitors for a while as the word spreads. We all should increase our vigilance for non-resident visitors at the Park and call the police if their presence is noted. 

We are having some clean-up done at Till Rock Park, trying to remove decades of undergrowth, poison ivy, fallen limbs and dead trees. The job will by no means be complete after three days of work, but we hope to open up enough of the Park to make it once again more accessible for all to enjoy. The hardwood will be cut and stacked in firewood log lengths which anyone is welcome to take.
