Results of Rope Swing Vote

Following a week of comments, a week of voting was held on the Barque Hill website. 60 ballots were cast, but several were invalid as the result of multiple votes from one household, numerous votes under the names of non-residents and one vote from a non-dues paying household.

44 valid votes were received: 25 for cutting the swing down, 19 for keeping the swing up. Therefore, the swing will be removed as quickly as possible.

The directors and I would like to thank all the residents who participated in this discussion which has spanned several years but seemed to come to a head last summer. All comments were welcome on the web site, and the end result has been reached in the fairest possible way.
